Through my point of view this era has not been special, this era has not been exciting, and honestly a bit of a let down. (Apologizing in advance for being all over the place and any spelling and grammar mistakes)

To start off I feel like with the rep era unless you met Taylor it wasn’t very magical. It is great that Taylor met a lot of people, it’s great that people met Taylor. But if you didn’t meet her then you didn’t have much to be excited about. Obviously there are concerts to look forward too but even the concerts were a bit disappointing. Looking back at the time when Taylor said “300 people know” I want to point out that that’s exactly how it feels to not be one of the people that met Taylor. You feel left out. I know that Taylor didn’t do press and interviews this era because of the things that happened in the previous years. I also know that doing something that was just meant for the fans would be hard because the media would still take a hold of it but it feels like she didn’t try to make anything special for fans that didn’t meet her. She has the Taylor Swift NOW with direct tv but that reaches a very very very very very limited amount of fans. The TSN thing is so cool and myself and many fans would love to see it but we don’t have access to direct tv so many of us can’t see it. I know that if more fans could see it it would be huge. But I have only seen like one fan talk about it. With other tours even if you didn’t meet her there are was still something exciting to look for, the eras themselves felt magical. Due to the stuff from the previous years i don’t want Taylor to do stuff that’s she’s not ready for or not comfortable with anymore but I cant help but feel as if she neglected the fans she doesn’t meet. It’s like if you wanted a little bit more than just the album you had to spend money and or get lucky. It feels like she mad the album and the tour because that’s what she’s supposed or required.

Going off of meeting fans the process is pure shit. To my knowledge Taylor doesn’t fully handle who she meets and who she doesn’t but for crying out loud she should try to take more action to make it fairer. It’s not like she’s completely powerless here. I’ve seen a few times where a fan was going to meet Taylor and had never met Taylor before but for the reason of “someone in your party has met her therefore you cant” the fan ended up not meeting her because for some reason they “couldn’t be split”. I don’t know who handles picking fans from the stadium to meet Taylor but they are shit and Taylor should have done something by now. There is also the “rule” that if you met her already no matter where or in what year you cant meet her again but that rule does not apply to everyone. I have seen people that have met her more than twice meet her again this era. Some fans who had only met her once were denied that and its fair but what’s not fair is the fans that get special privileges and meet her multiple times. Like who does the rule apply for? I know Taylor remembers the faces of people so she should fucking know who to put on the “already met me list”. I am being fully honest when I say Taylor prefers/ prioritizes some fans over others. It just feels like that. You cant meet this person once but you can meet this person multiple times through this era and through the years?

Moving on.

Another thing that really made me in a way get annoyed at Taylor is that she seems very money hungry this era. The tickets are way over priced. There are reseller tickets that sell for less or more than the original ticket however the original prices are still very freaking expensive. $800 for pit? And with added fees it gets closer to $1000. And full offense the show is not worth $1000 dollars. Those tickets did come with a box filled with goodies but even the prices of that and the ticket are not worth $800. And a lot of the stuff in the box was stuff you found in the CD magazines. Like are you fucking kidding me. It came with a few (very few) other things exclusively to that box but the majority you could of found at Target. Taylor literally scammed her fans. (A little side note to that: I saw that people that had pit could barely see because they stage was too high. First they have to pay a bunch of money and then they can barely see? Wow.) I can see Taylor’s prices being a little bit above a “fair price” because there is a lot of production and ticket sales need to accommodate for that but Taylor’s prices are way way way way above a fair price. $100 for nosebleeds? Those shouldn’t exceed $80 at most. She has the highest grossing North American Tour for a female and with only 27 shows yeah no fucking way. Unless….. oh yeah unless tickets are really fucking expensive. Another way you can tell the tickets are expensive is that the shows are not sold out. The shows are not sold out. The shows are not sold out. Taylor Nation and Taylor have both said that the tour is sold out and that certain shows are sold out but they lie. You can see in pictures that shows are not sold out. I remember at my show there were a few sections with a lot of empty seats. Taylor achieved a really big milestone but she did it in an unfair way.
The other over priced thing this era was merchandise. Merch is usually over priced no matter the artist but again Taylor went above that and made the merch really fucking expensive. I don’t know if Taylor doesn’t realize that not all her fans are freaking rich. I’ve seen people blow their paycheck buying like two things because they were so expensive. People buy it because they find it pretty and nice and they love Taylor but they are a still upset about prices. I mean for fucks sake it’s merch not Gucci. If she wants to sell her merch at that price well fine but she should also have merch that people with lower incomes are able to afford. And I’m talking about clothing merch not some freaking stickers. I can get better and less expensive stickers from Redbubble. Lowering the price of merch can be really helpful and meaningful to fans who couldn’t go to a show because of whatever reason feel a little closer to Taylor and the experience. (Also It’s even more expensive for international fans who Taylor likes to ignore).

Something that I want to make a note of is lack of international shows. Why? Taylor has many fans all over the world yet she thinks the world consists of the US, the UK, Australia, and Japan. Did she fail geography or…. Shows in Asia, Europe and Latin America are long overdue. She owes fans from those places so much. And yes I am going with “she owes them” because they get nothing. I don’t know why she hasn’t but it just seems ridiculous to not have shows there. There are fans from those continents that have to fly to another country because there is zero chance of Taylor showing her face in their country. This can be very expensive but fans still choose to do it because they love her and they want to experience one of her concerts. They should be able to do that in their countries not having to fly halfway around the world. And going to more countries doesn’t mean a longer tour. Using one direction as an example their where we are stadium tour had 69 shows and they went to South America and a few European shows. Same for their on the road again tour they didn’t go to South America but they went to Asia and even Africa. And that was around 80 shows. An you’re telling me that with 85 shows in the 1989 tour she couldn’t once go to Asia, Europe, SA, or Africa. For fucks sake NA had 63 shows why the fuck. The rep tour is only 53 shows she could have done more, she has done more. I don’t think she will be doing more because it seems to me that Taylor doesn’t care about international fans. There are smaller artists than her that still manage to tour those continents so why cant Taylor? She doesn’t seem sorry about it either. In the fearless and speak now and red tour she went to some European and some Asian dates but why not for the 1989 tour and rep her bigger tours? And she’s never been to Latin American that’s my biggest issue. Why? This isn’t mainly a rep tour things it’s a why is Taylor on her 6th album and still hasn’t toured Latin America and also why did she ignore a big part of the fucking world with her biggest tours. It shows that’s she doesn’t give two shits about those fans. That may not be the case I don’t know but that’s what can be seen and that’s how those fans feel.

Going back to the show.

The show itself is… I went to a rep concert and I did have the time of my life, I had fun, it was my first time seeing Taylor. But I can’t help but feel like the show was a little bit messy. It felt like she wanted to do very big productions for each song, bigger than 1989 but she didn’t think it out clearly. I’m not gonna go into detail but this tour production was her worse. In my opinion a lot of stuff was cringe-y. (Cameo….No.) this is the most personal opinion on the whole post but yeah i just wanted to share that this tour was missing a little something extra. It felt like she wanted to sell something to make money and wow the critics rather than have her fans really enjoy it. Obviously selling something means making money but it felt like she was focused on that rather than the fans.

I think that more people feel the same way but they don’t say it because they don’t wanna get attacked and because a lot of fans kiss Taylor’s ass. Some fans see opinions or criticism as something hateful and as a reason to attack whoever said it. Taylor still gets hate from distasteful people, she stills gets so many harsh things thrown at her but all of that is different from criticism.

I really hope the next era is different, I hope it’s better. I hope Taylor listens to her fans and not the ones she met (specially not the ones she met multiple times) or the ones that kiss her ass because lets be honest Taylor likes to focus on the good things only and pretends there isn’t something wrong. I hope she listens to the fans who were treated unfairly. The international fans. The fans who cant always be spending money on her stuff. So many fan voices go unheard and i hope that changes next era/tour/ it better fucking change. We’re all tired of it.
