Headcanon that Rhys’ mum accidentally gave Cassian a terrible haircut once and he’s never let anyone cut his hair since.
but then NESTA comes along and

and eventually one day she gets curious and asks him if he’ll let her cut his hair because she wants to try it and Lord of Bloodshed Cassian at first is totally against the idea because good commander knows not to make the same mistake twice his hair is very important to him so he looks at Nesta dead in the eye and says “No” but Nesta knows how to get her way so all she simply does is sit behind Cassian and play with his hair while kissing his ears then his jaw and says to him “you like seeing me happy right” to which Cassian replies with a hum since he’s too happy and relaxed at the moment Nesta them says “well cutting your hair would make me very happy. and with that, she hugs him and kisses the top of his head and that’s how Cassian the over sized bat gave in and let the love of his life, his mate cut his hair even after he swore thousands of years ago to never let anyone do that again
