So before anyone starts reading, I just want to say that this is probably awful cuz I was really rushed while writing it and I’m definitely more familiar with the ACOTAR world/characters than ToG! I’m not good with angst either but I tried😂 This was a requested fic so I hope you guys enjoy (or not I’m not sure haha) Thank you @autumn03 for helping me edit!💘

The arrow had come out of nowhere. Elide, Lorcan, Rowan, and Gavriel were just walking along a stream through the woods, still on their search for Aelin, when her scream rang through the air.

Lorcan was instantly there, holding her up as she began to sway on her feet. She could feel the warmth of her blood as it slowly spread across the front of her tunic. She caught movement in the corner of her eye, and saw Rowan fighting off another man. One of Maeve’s men.
