imagine for elucien’s book we get flashbacks. the two would secretly meet to just get to know each other, get to know the person that is their equal

AND :DDD

flashbacks to when they weren’t together but thinking of each other, like happy that they have a secret friend. bond aside. they may not be really close friends because they can’t spend a lot of time together but what they share with each other means a lot to the other.

Lucien understands that a mating bond is a very big fucking deal and it must feel even bigger to elian who is new to the fae world so he wants to help her adjust to it as much as possible. and even though she hasn’t accepted the bond he is relieved by that because it is a big deal for him, not just that it’s a mating bond but that he’s had people he loves or cares about be ripped from him, killed, or he’s had to be separated from, so he wants to know if being with elain is worth the pain. not if she is worth it or not, but if he can handle being in love again because being in love and being loved and having a mating bond is the most beautiful and wonderful thing but it can also be horrific if something happens to your mate. on top of all the shit he’s been through going at straight into such a deep and powerful thing may be too much at first.

and when Elian loses her shit and confronts the night court about the shit way they’ve been treating Lucien, and how they both feel that the night court has these ideas of who they think she and Lucien are that they can’t let go off and see who they really are/ want to be

ARE NOT WHITE ………..OR BLACK! Don’t white wash them but also don’t erase their true ethnicities

If you care so much about the characters not being white washed and representation then don’t just give them whatever non-white race/ethnicity you please and call it a day. (Really this goes for fan art too). There’s barely any rep for brown poc and asians so stop erasing them, stop with the “creative liberties”.

And one more thing before I go: Don’t gatekeep the skin tone of brown folk. Someone can have light brown skin (hell every really freakin light brown skin) and still be a POC, not white or whitewashed. Just because their skin isn’t brown or dark brown doesn’t mean they don’t “count” or are being “misrepresented” as a POC

I think the easiest way to proof that Elucien is endgame is that…Sarah loves happy endings.

Elain won’t reject the bond because that would make Lucien…uh…not have a happy ending. (He wouldn’t move on to his “tRuE LoVe”, he would be beyond devastated because that’s how bonds work.)
