• On Solstice night, Gwyn gave Azriel an opening to leave because she knows he likes to be alone, he chose to stay and teased her about it.

• Gwyn saw through his lies about the reason why he came to the ring "lie: dagger – truth: loneliness" and teased him about it that he had to refrain himself from telling her that he did indeed sleep with many daggers in his room.

• She took him by surprise which not many people do when she asked if he sings because he is a Shadowsinger, he explained that he is a shadowsinger and he does sing and had to literally change the subject because if he didn't he would've ended up explaining and demonstrating for her.

• He demonstrated for her how to correctly wield a blade and not once did he think of his scarred hands that are usually his biggest insecurity.

• She thanked and smiled at him and something immediately settled down in him and even his shadows have calmed that his frustration faded away.

• The image of her joy made him smile.
