Just admit that you only liked nesta because you don’t like the inner circle or because she was cold, and snappy at anyone and different. Not because you wanted to see her grow.
Because some people aren’t even acknowledging the tremendous growth between chapter one and the last chapter. She went from barely eating, in a run-down apartment, thin and couldn’t even be in the tub for a long time to literally OWNING the house of wind and having the house favor her. You want to rant and rant and rant about the Inner Circle. Because you would have hoped she would go and kill them or blow up Velaris with the fire behind her as she walked off in slow motion. All these fantasies that people conjured up from the SIX chapters that leaked
People aren’t even listening to Nesta admit her own mistakes or talk about her own sacrifices or her own growth. Or how happy she is. It’s her story. Not yours. Go write a fan fiction. You are not Sarah J Maas.
She controls her own magic, made her own group of woman warriors, learned how to live and be happy and wants Cassian as her mate. She told him that she loves him. She didn’t even lose all of her magic. It says that the MOTHER, MOTHER and her have a understanding and she made nesta keep some. She literally has the MOTHER in her corner. She acknowledged that she changed her body because she wants to have a baby, one day. She has friends that she call sisters, she reconciled with her own sisters and her father. But instead of acknowledging that growth you would rather rant about Rhysand? Who at this point knows that nesta is powerful and has been showering her gifts and anything she wants?
I liked nestas story. She grew and is happy and content and that’s all that matters
Thank you!!!!! My words exactly. Nesta is happy, isn’t repulsed or scared of her past and who she is anymore, and wants a future with her newfound joy. Yet, people are mad that she didn’t stay “bitchy” aka have her truama eat her alive.
I love how everyone talking about how much they hate the book solely focus on the IC (which if they hate so much why give so much attention?) and their relationship with Nesta. They all “love” Nesta so much that they completely ignore her character and the hell she went through to get her happy ending, and solely focus on how the IC didn’t kneel before her power which she didn’t understand and was afraid of and hated.
